Back to my Roots & Another Clueless Outfit
I'M WEARING>> Blazer: Stradivarius// Top: Uniqlo// Skirt: Zara// Boots and sunnies: Asos// Bag: Pop & Suki
Okay, soooo...I have a lot to say today, so if you don't wanna read the whole spiel, just let me know how much you like or dislike this outfit in the comments below now (hehehe, SHAME. I know.)
If you're still here, then let me ask you this - do you want to know the real tee on why I've been more sporadic with posting lately? Yes? Well of course you do, hehe. The reason I haven't been keeping up with my posts these last couple of months is simple - I was planning to quit. I know, I know, I have been quitting and restarting and quitting again on this blog for a long time now, but this time was different. I wasn't inspired anymore, didn't want to work on it anymore, just ready to let go, you know?
Oh yeah, I would still take photos, but just for instagram, without the pesky rigid scheduling. It was a decision I have been mulling over ever since I stopped posting regularly on this blog, not a last minute thing at all.
And then sentimental me had to look through my old posts again, just this morning. I had this outfit all lined up and ready to go, out for another shoot I have started to dread for many personal reasons (a failing, on my part). Then I saw THIS POST FROM 2011. As you can tell if you check it out, that outfit was almost exactly the same concept as this latest one, taken eight years ago. What you don't know about that post is that I took that with a crappy old digicam in desperation, wearing shoes that were too uncomfortable, a skirt I cut myself from an old top, and my mom's blazer. I even remember running into Leon during that shoot (we weren't together yet), and being so ashamed of what I was doing, because remember, taking 'outfit shots' weren't a usual occurence in Macau back in 2011 - a polite way of saying no one else was doing it, and everyone who saw me do it thought I was weird.
And look at the difference now, right?
I have grown so much on this blog. Leon has grown so much on this blog. It may not be famous or popular or whatever, but this has been my motivation and purpose since 2010. Personal style and fashion is not just clothes to me, it's been my identity and source of confidence during a time when I didn't have both.
And so what am I saying?
I guess I'm saying that I'm back, this time for good. I'm not quitting anymore.
I wouldn't know what to do with myself within a week, and I'm still actually not ready to move on from this thing that I started and continued to do for almost a decade.
So trust me when I say this time, see you soon, lovelies!
I'll be pushing for a twice a week posting schedule starting today.
And let me know what you think of this outfit in the comments below :)
