Postcards from Kyoto
Ah Kyoto, probably one of the most beautiful places in Japan. There's a reason this place is crawling with tourists, myself included, after all.
The first time Leon and I went to Kyoto, we didn't have nearly enough time to visit the sites. Not because we didn't want to, but because almost all the rooms were already fully booked, aside from a few places that didn't seem all that nice to stay in. This time however, my sisters and I made sure we had a great place, and we found one in Gion Fuka, this amazing, hidden little AirBNB tucked within the streets of Gion.
Another thing I regret from our first trip? The fact that we got to Fushimi Inari Taisha too late in the day to have any decent pictures in the famous shrine. If you're wondering, Fushimi Inari Taisha is the orange shrine that was featured in that movie, Memoirs of a Geisha, a movie I've watched so many times. Well, consider that remedied! Though we had to wake up at an ungodly hour of 4AM in the morning, you'll hear no complaints from me, because it was all worth it in the end! - I cannot stress this enough loves, if you're planning a visit here, early is the best time.
Anyways, there was one more place in Kyoto we went to that was a first for me, but that's for next time! So see you soon, loves! Hope you're having a great week, and let me know if you've been to Kyoto or if you're planning to!
Here are my previous posts on this place:
Also, here's a rundown on our romp around Osaka from my sister, Kate. Give it some love, and see you soon! - Che
