I'M WEARING>> Skirt: c/o Dresslily// Jacket: Uniqlo// Cami: Stradivarius// Sneakers: Adidas Superstars// Bag: Forever 21// Sunnies: Yuyuan Market, Shanghai
Been waiting for this skirt to come to me for a while. Worth it. It's slinky, sexy, and so photographic AF. Love it to bits, is what I'm saying. I was going to go a different route with my outfit (more black, actually) but it was it was cold in Macau. It's also New Year, like, the first day of 2017, and I wanted to sparkle. And sparkle and shine I did. Thanks so much to the sweet people at Dresslily for giving this to me. I feel like we'll have a great fashion future together. I think in a future post I'll be addressing the stigma behind shopping in China-based online stores, because as my recent posts have shown, not all the stuff are inherently bad. I'm from here, I'm an expert. Haha.
I finally bought a second camel coat, this time without the leather sleeves. It's from Uniqlo, my not-so-secret go to for everything basic in perfect shapes. Funnily enough, Uniqlo is never on my to-go list of places, but everytime I come here I leave with a lighter wallet. EVERYTIME.
Anyways, I topped up the look with my ever-perfect Superstars and a new, sequinned cami I bought especially for 2017 (and worn twice before January 1 ended).
New Year was a quiet family affair, as we do every year. We missed countdown though, due to some bad time planning, and Leon and I were stranded in the road waiting for the clock to strike twelve. But, I don't discriminate against a new year just by missing a countdown (which we did in 2015, and 2015 was a good year). So I'm hoping this little slip-up actually means the year can only go up. Ah wishful thinking, let's see once we're back to the countdown for 2018. Cheers, darlings, and enjoy the rest of your week! - Che
Love the color of the velvet skirt. You look great.
