Hong Kong Travel Diary

Jacket: Asos// Tee: Zara// Skirt: local store// Shoes: Asos// Bag: New Look

This time, instead of manic shopper/blogger, I played tourist.

Sorry again sweeties! I was gone awhile, but I have a good reason - I had a fever and had to ask to go home early from work. Ugh. Bed rest the whole day. It was horrible. But anyways...it feels like so long ago since I've been to HK with Leon, because I've already gone back to HK and back again with Carla and my good friends, gotten super sick, and watched two movies in the cinema (in no particular order).

But anyways...ah, Hong Kong, the island not so far away, but so different than Macau. It's fast-paced and a city at its peak. This time I refrained from putting all of my time into taking blog pictures and shopping till I drop, and focused more on sightseeing. And there is so much to see and do in HK. Just walking around (and getting lost) around the city is an adventure. Hehe...I did take my fair share of pictures tho, mostly from day two, but also from the night before at Lan Kwai Fong to pre-celebrate Carla's birthday, which was fun, and too short! But HK is an hour away, we're already planning a return trip =) The day after, we started out at Central, in IFC Mall. Then made our way to the shops on the other side for my shopping fill, which I found at Topshop. An amazing purchase, which of course, you will be seeing soon! And then we went all the way to Causeway Bay, for Forever 21. But that was the end of my shopping spree. After that we just chilled, had coffee, walked around. I discovered some brands I have heard of but have never seen, like Irregular Choice and RLGN. I swear the next time I come to HK I'm going to go for some other brands other than fast fashions F21, H&M and Topshop. The city has so much more. Finally, it started raining, and so we had a late lunch at Hysan Place in Causeway Bay, before going back to Central.

A little peeve I have tho is the transportation. Coming from the very accessible Macau, I have come to realize how much harder it is to travel when the place you're traveling to is larger. And the taxis are always a particular peeve. Like, even if it's raining, and I have luggage, they don't stop for you - and even if they do, you'll have to beg them to take you where you want to go first. I guess there are some places they don't fancy going to. It's pretty annoying when you're tired and you're carrying stuff, but so is city life! Anyways, one more HK post (which is vastly different) coming soon, so till then - Che

  5. Thanks so much Charmaine, I always have so much fun in HK, coz it seems like a mini vacation each time from tiny Macao :) Thanks for the love on the new layout, unfortunately though, I might have to change it soon hehe, coz it has this tiny, irritating flaw :)
