Hey darlings! Just a quick update for today =) For this post, we took our photos on the pier right across the street from where I live. It's a factory area, with the boats nearby. It smells fishy, and the water is quite dirty (saw some questionable things floating in there, yuck!) but it was a great place for these shots nonetheless.

My outfit for today is simple, and yet not. I'm back to mixing prints, starting with this subtle camo + animal print outfit, inspired this time by Sincerely Jules, and her awesome, laid-back yet cool style! Leon and I just took shots today, followed with a big late lunch at Brick's. For more info, you could check my instagram at @styleche.

Also on Instagram sweeties, oh my gosh we just got another sweet baby boy puppy! We haven't named it yet (I want to name it Sugar), but we are all so in love all over again. Even my big boy, Castle, loves the new tiny baby. I feel like a momma bear caring for her little cubs =) So so happy right now. Well, that's it for today, how's you week so far sweeties? - Che

Overdose

When I woke up this morning, I did my usual lazing around in bed, wondering what to do and wear...and then this outfit popped out as bright as day. But I was doubtful. It was like, a lot of trends I'm lusting for this winter - plaid, sporty, white, zippers, studs, neoprene, wedge sneakers. Yep, a lot. But it was what I wanted to wear, so wear I did - bad taste be damned. In the end, well, it looked me. I was so comfortable in it. I don't know though, is it too much sweeties? How much is too much?

Anyways, meet my new W sweater, which I bought at the same time as the plaid skirt in my previous post. I was so inspired by one of my fave bloggers, Andy Torres, because she rocks the coolest sweaters, one of which was a neoprene sweater like this one. The zippers and the embossed print were the icing on the cake. I couldn't not get it. Basic but not basic, aren't those just the hardest pieces to find? Anyways, it's still a work day. Manny Pacquiao, a famous Philippine boxer, is in Macao for a boxing match tomorrow, and the excitement is palpable. I mean, I'm not personally a fan, but it's not hard to get caught up in the adrenaline rush. The bigger news is, OMG!, Victoria Beckham is staying at the hotel I work for! I haven't seen her, but trust me sweeties I want to, so so much. When they said that David Beckham (who is a star all on his own) was coming, I was like 'Meh...I wanna see Victoria', and she's here, damn! Here's hoping I get lucky.

Back in Leather

If you've been following my blog, then you've already met my other, much more studded leather jacket. If you're new to my blog, you can see that jacket here, here and here. But that one is more of a 'special occasion' jacket, because it's so special. Hence, giving me a reason to buy another perfetto - one more for everyday use! And trust me sweeties, I could wear this everyday =)

Yep, I'm back in my comfort zone - leather. I wore this jacket during my Ocean Park trip, but I guess I want to show it off now. Just one of the things crucial to the colder months for me. There are so many different ways to wear such a staple! Am I right, sweeties?

Anyways, I wore it with my bright red jeans from Mango about two years ago (where has the time gone since then?) and a graphic tee from Pull and Bear. What's the deal with this shirt anyways? I actually doubted this purchase because, well, what is this supposed to mean? Is it the glorification of geeks, or that scientists are the coolest people of them all. But, it was too good to pass up, and I know I'll figure out what P&B meant eventually. It's back to work nowadays for me, and the days are counting down until Christmas time. Most hotels have their decorations up now actually, makes it more festive. I'm starting to think of what presents to give (and receive, tee hee), what our Christmas Feast will have, whether or not I'll have a good enough schedule to enjoy the festivities. Only time will tell, I suppose.

I still have an upcoming holiday trip to think about. Maybe you'll be bored of Hong Kong by now, but well, it's where we Macao people go to play for a while. Maybe I'll have an Xmas dedicated post..haha...How about you sweeties, have you started thinking of the holidays? I'll see you soon - Che

Schoolgirl 2.0

I think my multiple failed math exams will show you I am no mathlete. I bought this sweater primarily for the irony, as math is my number one most hated subject. Hehe, just had to put that out there =) I remember when I was still in school. The hem lines were low and the neck lines were high. This outfit would've probably got me in a lot of trouble. I sometimes wish we had more freedom back then, at least in terms of tights and coats - just like the school in Gossip Girl (but I guess that's probably why it's fictional!)

Anyways, it's my day off! Yippee - so just a casual cool outfit to walk around in. This time, the plan was to do nothing at all, just hang out with Leon, some lunch, Turkish Ice Cream, and of course, pictures! Tee hee, I'm pretty satisfied with life now. Along with my Mathlete sweater, I put on my new plaid mini skirt, which I picked up in Pull and Bear one day when I was feeling under the weather and vulnerable. What is it about us girls? That shopping can give us a jolt of happiness even in the worse of times. I am a usual offender. It doesn't matter what I buy, as long as I buy, and I usually feel better again. Hmmm...can't be just me, how about you gals? Any offenders? Well, till next time sweeties! - Che

Hong Kong Ocean Park

And in an instant, I'm about three again.

Let's wrap up my HK trips, shall we? With none other than one of my fondest childhood memories - Ocean Park, I end my three day break from the mundane. This time I went with some good friends, haha..Carla - which of course you may all know - some gal pals, and some dudes, which we unceremoniously dubbed The Tourists. Ocean Park has vastly improved from my childhood, because now it has more rides in one area, rather than a few rides scattered all across the park (and it's a damn huge park!). I especially loved the Old Hong Kong area, which was so quaint in design and style, and the carnival circus area like a scene right out of Dumbo. I did, however, expect to see the large aquarium once getting there, but I was bummed to find it was close. Pfft. Maybe next time.

The day started out as bad as it could possibly can though - with me getting left behind by the ferry. Yep, I came to the ferry terminal five minutes too late, and I had to take the next one alone. Talk about good morning, right? Also before that, I forgot to prepare something to wear and change the lenses for my camera. As great as my 50mm lenses are, they are a pain in the butt for landscape shots. You should see me walking back and back and back...just to get a shot. But all in all, it was a blast. Just laughs, thrills, and a whole lot of visual for me to show you. It's nice to be in a different setting with some other people other than Leon, though, I do wish he did have time to go. Anyways, that's all I have to show for now, lovelies! Until my next big adventure - Che

Brave Soul

I was gonna give this post a title more, well, obvious - like Americana or USA. But given what's been happening lately, I'm pretty proud to call myself a brave soul for once. Remember what I told you, that November is starting out as a strong month? Well, that doesn't seem to be the case lately, as my face has spouted out these disgusting, white spots all over. I might not have perfect skin, but it's never looked this bad before. So no to oily foods and especially makeup. The oily foods, ok, I can handle. But do you know how hard it is to walk around almost completely barefaced?! As a girl used to wearing makeup to feel complete every day, I feel naked. And with spots all over my face, it's even worse. My first instinct when I see blemishes on my face is to cover it up with concealer, then foundation, and finally powder. But now...ugh. Don't worry tho sweeties, I'll be seeing a dermatologist soon. I just want it to be over.

Anyways, the outfit of the day is with these new USA print shorts. I think winter in Macau has officially started, because between my tights, boots, sweater and blazer, I was still a bit chilly. I think this outfit right here is my unofficial uniform for the brrr months. The white sweater is one of my new favorites! With 3/4 sleeves and really snowy white - ain't it just nice and snug? Sigh* I'm so depressed right now. Well, till next time sweeties =) - Che

Gray Matter

Grey is not the new black - but it does come pretty close.

It's funny how unassuming my outfit seems to be, because I managed to fit sequins and polkadots in this outfit without venturing into costume territory (I think, hehe). But I don't think that is on me in any way, and more on the basic color status of grey. I love grey! I don't believe it's the new black (Nothing can ever be the new black =P) but it comes just close second to my top most wearable colors, and I think that's not just for me, but a lot of people. Worn with another basic - the denim vest, and my new Balenciaga-esque booties from Topshop. Yep, if you look at my previous post, it was in the paper bag I was lugging around. They're actually quite heavy, but so worth the effort! Hahaha!

Anyways, I wore this outfit today for about a month's worth of errands I just couldn't finish. It was a dry but grey, hazy afternoon, probably my favorite weather unless it starts to rain (which it did but much later). Sigh...I had to run back and forth, making sure I could do everything within the day, and within the opening hours of each place. I'm pretty used to having enough time to sort everything out in my own pace...but on the bright side I'm getting really good at time-management. Kind of surprising to know once again that I am really growing up. Not a kid anymore. Sometimes I wish I could be a kid again, though. Anyways, if you're wondering - yes, I finished them all! The last one on my list being 'Pick up packages from post office' tee hee; the perfect end to a dreadful, rainy day. How's your week so far lovelies? Let me know! - Che
