It's Style.Che's first anniversary! Yippee!Can you believe that you have been reading the rambles of a chubby girl with big hair and an in-your-face sense of style for a year today? Tell me you're glad? Hahaha

 Before Style.Che, I was Odd Candy, a girl who tried so hard to be someone else than who she is...and tried so hard to keep her blog constantly posted eventhough she had no way of doing so. Leon was the jumpstart my blog needed. He bought the camera, took photos anytime (and everytime) I wanted. I started focusing on me instead of what was cool and in-trend, and voila! Style.Che was born.

Voila! Another photo fest of epic proportions. Everytime I run out of things to post, you will be treated to one of these - all the other photos, Instagram and otherwise, that I take but do not post. It's been a busy month, with only a few days to breathe in between. So we make good use of it by hanging out and about.

See the little outfit post in between my photos? We braved heavy rains to make a short homage to Macau Tower for the day, go a little furniture window shopping and hang around in a small cafe around the island. When you are pressed for some quality time, it doesn't really matter what weather you find yourself in =) So, what else will be happening in April? Well, if you follow my instagram then you would have seen that we already have tickets for the Iron Man 3 movie for this week. I'm planning to get my boy the collector's item Iron Man 3D glasses set, but maybe a few days later! You will be able to see it too, because it will be on my page for sure!

So, this skirt again. I wanted to create a different look than the vintage miss look (see post here) I started out with so I decided to toughen it up with my denim jacket, my coca-cola tee and leather boots. The earrings are my mom's from the 90's. They are so art deco fabulous, and my mom used to have lots of them...now I don't know where most of them are. This is actually just one earring, the other one is gone.

Anyways, I've been watching Project Runway lately. It's always been one of my dreams to be a fashion designer, and I suppose it was nice to see beautiful things and be inspired to create them for myself someday. I know I haven't actually showed you anything I actually designed, but it's more of a technical problem for me. Hand-sewing is tedious, and frankly I don't have the patience. I wish that now I have extra income, I could really buy a sewing machine like I wanted. That would be awesome.

Argh, I want a vacation. And there will be one, but it cannot come soon enough. One promise though, it will make for some amazing photos! So see you soon??

Two days before this shoot, Macau suddenly gave us beautiful, sunny and breezy weather. I was ecstatic, of course, but unfortunately, between Leon's schedule and mine, taking photos was impossible. So of course I couldn't wait for this day, which was his day off. Way to play tricks on me again! The weather turned for the worse, it was overcast and humid, again! It's so frustrating, because this outfit with yummy, bright sunshine could have been perfect..argh...it`s so frustrating!

This outfit occurred because of two - totally awesome - things: one, this top, which I thought I left behind in the Philippines, turned up in my closet. It was actually just lost with our mountain of clothes to be ironed. For months I searched, now I know it is here =) 

Two, these totally awesome alien eye shades (Carla says vintage, I say alien, what do you think??). I had a rude awakening that morning by Leon shaking me awake because someone was at the door with a package and he needed my I.D. For some reason I forgot where it was so we searched, and searched some more. I thought it was something for my mom, but actually, it was mine. The Ana Jeffrey shades I won from Carla's giveaway monthssssss ago. I had given up on it already, so it was a great surprise and really good news for me.

This is probably one of my fave outfits. It's simple, clean and a little forties with a twist. I love it, really!

So, my sudden love for trouser-fit pants continues. Yes, I know it's almost a variation of my previous post - but what can I say? Sometimes this is just what happens. Hehe, Leon and I decided to make use of the pillars for some very funny shots, I think we looked a little loony playing hide and seek, and then me acting like some pop tart in a music video . But the end product was - at least to me - oddly satisfying and cool. Hey, at least it adds variation. I mean, aren't you tired of seeing me in the same poses over and over again?? I know I am. 

Anyways, I just had my very first night shift ever. Has anyone tried this before? All I can say is, thank god for all those late nights! It wasn't bad at all. I even had me some pearl milk tea during the break. But can I do it for a month someday? Maybe not. Oh and I am so proud of myself! Do you know that I have finally reached  one month in my job? For me that's saying something, because I can be like a bee to flower...I flit from one to the other...but I am determined to keep right where I am. I guess it's true that things are better when you're having fun =) So, see you soon sweeties! Hope you have a great weekend,

I think it's been obvious in my recent posts that although the weather continues to be cold and wet, the ship has sailed (at least to me) for chunky knits, scarves and general winter fare. Spring-ness has taken over, and I love it! This spring seems to be about more vintage-y looks and silhouettes. These trousers are my purchase number 2. There was a mint version which was equally awesome in its own way, but these navy ones spoke to me more. I love the fit, and they are so versatile that this will not be the last time you will see them on this blog! I already have dozens of great ideas in my head. 

Everything else are stuff I already own. Still remember my yummy crochet shoes??

The thing about flats are...two things: they make you look as short as you actually are, and they also make your calves look like boxer's biceps (well, mine at least). But damn, I've never felt so comfortable, and since my kitty flats are so cute and versatile, I'll make an exception for them.

For this post, I went with a sporty feline theme. Rawwr...the jacket is a present I bought for Leon, but since I only buy pieces I like when it comes to my boyfriend's clothes - trust me, he hasn't bought his own clothes since we got together - I love this too! Hence...I wear it.

Anyways, on this day, my boss came up to me and said 'Chezka, you can watch the House of Dancing Water show today, will you be okay with that?'. The show is a famous one in Macao, and after watching, I must say, hats off to them! It's fantastic =) I'm sorry that the only photos I could show you are these blurry phone shots, but I was so stupid I forgot the camera for the show. I am so returning - just to take better photos =)
