Blacked Out

Sometimes, all black is still the best way to go if you're pressed for time, or, if you're like me, just lazy. I got this dress, or long top?, from Carla Violet's shop (Yes, I'm one of their loyal customers). I thought I'd take it out for a spin (plus shorts underneath) for a walk around with Leon a few days before we went off to China. Of course we took pictures - finally! - at one of the scenic spots I always wanted to shoot at. 

All-black was a sort of uniform for me once upon a time. During my less than fashionable high school days, my classmates used to call me the 'goth' girl. Now, I was not goth, but since I was a fat kid, black seemed like the best option at the time, oh, and it was my friends at the time's influence as well. But all-black, I realized, can be very stylish, or, at the very least, polished...yes, I think I looked pretty polished, you know, ready for anything and that sort of thing.
