Kenting | Making a Beeline to the Beach

In a burst of inspiration, Leon and I decided to scrap our original plan (to go to Kaohsiung) and directly make a beeline for the very south of Taiwan, Kenting. We're spontaneous that way, I suppose, and it turned out to be ingenious! It was the longest ride of my life. We took off at nine in the morning -

One hour on the local bus to get to the train station, three hours to Kaohsiung by train, and another three hours on shuttle bus to Kenting later, we got off only to find that a storm had affected Taiwan, and it was raining so hard, oh dear indeed! I was so sad that I wanted to cry...but it got better. Out of three days in Kenting, we got one perfect day. Kenting was a beautiful place, taking inspiration from tropical getaways like Bali and Thailand (I've been to both) - I wish the weather was better though

And this concludes my trip to Taiwan...I am happy, my wallet's drained, and I have more memories to share one day with my children! I hope you enjoyed my pictures of Taiwan. I'll be posting my new purchases soon!
